Regent Volleyball Coaches
Coach Cool joined the coaching staff at Regent in Spring 2023. As a coach, Nikki Cool has a rich history and experience of coaching volleyball at all levels of play. Prior to coming to Regent, she was a middle school and high school assistant at Holland Hall for 12 years. As a club coach, Coach Cool has coached at the highest competition and skill level with 18-year-old players on the Tulsa Power team. In Spring 2023, Coach Cool guided the Tulsa Power team to the American Volleyball Challenge National Qualifier Gold Ball Championship and then onto a national 5th place finish in the USA National Volleyball Championships.
In her junior and senior years in high school, she played on two state championship teams at Bishop Kelly. She went on to play college volleyball at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith.
Coach Cool is a great blend of confidence with humility and fierce competitiveness with intentional caring for her players. She has passion with perspective and she is highly organized, but flexible. She leads a volleyball program that Honors Christ and represents Regent well. Coach Cool is experienced as a head coach with volleyball theory, with developing team unity, and with program building.
She is also a wife and mom of 7 children. Coach Cool is a church pre-school teacher during much of the week, with an afternoon and evening schedule that allows her to be devoted to her love and passion for coaching volleyball. She is active in her faith and committed to her church.
In high school, Coach Nethon was a four year varsity starter. She made school history her sophomore year, leading Victory Christian School to their first volleyball state birth and she was the Tulsa player of the week several times her junior and senior year. Nethon made all-tournament teams and the all-state team her senior year. After high school and college, she returned to VCS to teach and coach. She coached on five state championship teams as well as middle school volleyball. In addition to being a part of Regent's Volleyball coaching staff, Coach Nethon is the Head Girls Basketball Coach, coaches tennis, and is a Secondary Dean of Students.
