Congratulations to our band and choir students who have attained great success in the recent District Music Contests! Regent Concert Band earned Superior Ratings from all judges in Concert Performance and Sightreading at the OSSAA District Contest and earned the opportunity to compete at the OSSAA State Band Contest. After receiving Superior ratings at the District Music Solo & Ensemble Contests, 15 high school vocalists and 10 high school band students qualified to compete at the OSSAA State Music Contest in April. Additionally, 25 middle school students received superior ratings in choir and band, plus 2 excellent ratings at their respective district contests.

Congratulations to our seniors on completing their thesis! They did not merely participate in the project, but they followed the challenge of St. Augustine to instruct, delight, and move the audience during their 20-minute speeches which followed their fifteen-page composition and hours of research. Congratulations to Mrs. Sears and the cast and crew of "Little Women" on the amazing show this past weekend! For those who were able to come watch one of the three performances, you no doubt saw the pay off of these talented students' hard work and dedication. Regent would like to congratulate three seniors who have been recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Program. Lola Webb has been named a Commended student based on her performance on the PSAT in her junior year. Commended students represent the top 3% of seniors in the nation. Alex Dupree and Julia White were named as Semifinalists in the fall based on their performance on the PSAT in their junior year. They have both advanced to Finalist standing based on their outstanding academic record and are now eligible for scholarship awards offered to Finalists. Finalists in the competition represent the top 1% of seniors in the nation. Congratulations Alex, Julia, and Lola!
